Best moment this week: Completing our Christmas shopping!!!
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? My family and friends who are states away. 😦
Movement: YES! (First movements: 8/30/12) It just amazes me how much stronger the movements, kicks, and jabs get with each week. This baby is a mover! He’s so active.
Food cravings: Apple juice. I have never really cared for apple juice, but this week it’s all I want to drink.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not that I’ve noticed this week.
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender prediction: It’s a BOY!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? Still flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On during the day, off at night. I swell so much at night.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to: Our little Christmas party with the kiddos tonight. 🙂

Week 31 All five of baby’s sense’s are developed. Major brain and nerve development are happening this week and his irises react to light.

Symptoms and other happenings:

  • Still sleepy all the time.
  • Still out of breath often.
  • Have had some pain on the top of my belly after long days at work.
  • I’ve cried over the stupidest things. Damn hormones!
  • Lots of people have commented about how “low” I seem to be carrying now. He’s basically sitting on my lap.
  • I say this all the time, but I’m seriously freaking out about how little time is left before he gets here!
  • Itchy belly.
  • Was super congested for two days and then it just disappeared.
  • Constipation! Ugh! Seriously! I can probably blame that on all the milk I was drinking last week. 😛

Pregnancy Week 10 & 11

So it’s been two weeks eh?

How far along? 11 weeks 1 day (almost in the second trimester!)
Total weight gain/loss: -5lbs in the two weeks. My belly looks smaller too. Not sure if I should see this as a positive or not. Lol
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I have starting using the BeBand. So much cheaper than the BellaBand and it’s working really great. Makes wearing my regular pants much more comfortable.
Stretch marks? Thankfully no new ones! Joseph gave me plenty! But I had a terrible dream about getting a shit ton of stretch marks. Eek!
Sleep: Still sleeping like a pro!
Best moment this week: Finding out my sister Tiffany is expecting her second child.
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? Not having to pee every five freaking minutes!!!!
Movement: Not yet.
Food cravings: Still just milk.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Certain smells. Nothing specific. It’s pretty random.
Have you started to show yet: Yes. And it kinda creeps me out. Lol
Gender prediction: ? I’m really clueless this time. I just haven’t had that ‘sense’ yet.
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On for the most part. I swell a lot when it’s hot out, and I’ve swollen a bit more now. They’re definitely off at night though.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Bye, bye irritability!!!! Except when I am hungry dammit!
Weekly Wisdom: Breathe through your mouth. Smelling everything is annoying. Haha!
Looking forward to: My first doctor’s appointment next week. 🙂

My 10 week picture, I look half way decent. 11 weeks, not so much. I debated on retaking it today, but said screw it, this is what I look like after a long day at work and a too long grocery shopping trip with all the kiddos in tow. Lol

Baby is now the size of a lime! Can you believe it?! Baby is almost completely developed. The bones are hardening, nail beds, tooth buds and hair follicles are forming. Baby has started swallowing and kicking around more (I can’t wait to feel it!).

Symptoms the last two weeks:

  • Thankfully I have not had any more nausea. *knock on wood*
  • I’ve had a lot of dreams about having twins again. It’s freaking me the hell out! I’m so ready for an ultrasound to show me just one!
  • I’ve had a few more headaches.
  • A LOT more frequent urination. Just when I thought it was starting to subside.
  • Some mild round ligament pain.
  • Not nearly as exhausted.
  • Cravings have subsided too, although I swear I cannot go to sleep if I have not had a glass of milk that day.
  • Have lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks and I’ve not vomited or been sick. :/

Mother’s Day & Random Updates

Mother’s Day was amazing! Jonathan and the kiddos are always so great. I got the cutest card of life from Jonathan and the most adorable owl trinkets and cards and lovin’s from my babies.

Jonathan has always treated me like a queen. He has always, always made sure that he makes my day special in some shape or form. He’ll make trips to the store after working all day, he’ll rub my feet, do the dishes, laundry, and all the things many women wish their men did (Yeah, I was totally bragging there!). All just because. He is amazing on so many levels. And I hate that I cannot be mad at him for more than two seconds. 😛

Mother’s Day was no different. We had a great day of laziness, Skyrim playing, Netflix watching and chocolate devouring. The kiddos made the cutest little things at school and they made sure to give me a million hugs and kisses and tell me how I was the bestest mommy ever! I love my family so much. I am truly blessed.

How was your Mother’s Day?

And for some random updates…

I have officially scheduled my tests for state licensing! It’s getting so much more real now! Eek! I am scheduled to take my practical test on June 9th and my written test June 22nd. So wish me luck guys! I’m so freaking nervous it’s sickening! I have never been so nervous about anything. Bleh!

I have applied to a handful of places. I received a call to set up an interview, but the only place they had an opening for was too far of a drive away, so unfortunately I had to turn it down. Next week I will be taking in my resume’s and speaking to some managers. So keep your fingers crossed for me on that too!

Tomorrow is the kiddos last day of school. I cannot believe how quickly it has all gone! The girls will have their kindergarten program tomorrow morning. They’re mostly excited about wearing their new outfits for it. Lol

Joseph has been a handful as of late. I am looking into pediatricians that can refer us to some help. He saw a therapist while he was in preschool and that seemed to help him a lot with just day-to-day activities, so I’m hoping that we’ll find something that works. He needs it and I need some sanity!

I was really hoping that this was going to be our BFP month, but AF came late last night. So back to the beginning.

Hope everyone is doing well. I’ll try better to keep everyone posted.

Lot’s of love!

What They Wish To Do

The kiddos are on spring break until the 9th. I asked them to write the things that they would like to do while on the break so that we were not watching tv all day, every day. This is what they came up with.

  • Have a sleepover.
  • Play Clue.
  • Play the Xbox.
  • Play the Wii.
  • Go to Kangarooz.
  • Play Yahtzee.
  • Go to the park.
  • Play on the computer.
  • Play on the iPod.
  • Play on your phone.
  • Play Candy Land.
  • Play kickball.

  • Play pin the tail on the donkey.
  • Have a pretend sleepover.
  • Play ring around the rosy at the beach.
  • Get a baby.
  • Go to the park.
  • Have a tea party at the beach.
  • Celebrate Joseph’s birthday.

  • Pin the tail on the donkey.
  • Have a pretend sleepover.
  • Have a great big party.
  • Hang out with just the girls.
  • Go to Nana and Papa’s.
  • Build a fort and have a club.
  • Have a dance party.
  • Go to the beach.
  • Play outside.

So we’ve got lots to do!

We have already done a few things and they have had a day at the park with just daddy and they loved it! I’m pretty sure they’re getting sick and tired of each other already. They have fought nonstop for the last two days. Every day somebody is the meanest brother or sister ever and they will not be friends with each other anymore. Five minutes later, they never ever said that. Lol There have been a lot of time outs and talks about what is nice and good behavior and explaining that just because it’s spring break doesn’t mean your teeth do not have to be brushed and chores don’t have to be done. They aren’t too fond of those rules!

Side story!

Yesterday Amaya walked into the bathroom while I was taking my OPK and asked what I was doing and what I was dipping my “stick” into. I told her that I was dipping it into my pee and she got all kinds of grossed out. Lol THEN came the questions… How did you get your pee in the cup? Does it smell like pee even if it’s not in the toilet? Why do you dip the stick in? What are those lines? It was too funny. I then told her I was testing to see when my egg would be ready for baby making and she lit up! She said, “Oh cool! I hope we get a baby tomorrow because I can mark that off my list! Yay!”

These children are too much!

Happy spring break everyone! Wish us luck in keeping sane until Tuesday when the kiddos are back in school and of course good luck for our TTCing!

Change of Plans

So… originally Jonathan and I were going to avoid having a December/January baby. Those plans have changed.

On CD 10 I took a OPK (ovulation predictor kit) and there was a line, although, very faint. This is not a positive result like it is with pregnancy tests. The line must be as dark or darker than the control line. Seeing this line had me wishing it were a BFP on a pregnancy test. I was slightly upset, but I went about my business.

The next day Jonathan was showing me a picture of a cute ass baby. He said, “Look how cute this picture is.” I melted! And lately while he’s been playing Battlefield 3 with his friend, he’ll pull off his headphones and tell me to listen because he can hear their child playing or yelling or just babbling in the background and he lights up and tells me how cute it is hearing him while they play. (I’m probably going to be in trouble with him now for telling everyone what a softy he really is. :P)

I brought it up with Jonathan and proposed the idea of not taking our TTC break. He was all for it. Of course, there is some crap we don’t like about the idea of a December baby, but we can get over that. He said, “If we want a baby so badly, why does it matter when we get that baby?” and before, hearing that from somebody else when discussing our plans, it would get on my nerves. With him saying it, it made perfect sense. He just has a way with me. 😛 And who knows, we may not even get pregnant this cycle. But we can’t say we didn’t try. Right?

On CD 10-12 the lines are there, just very faint. On my phone I can see them better, but on the computer the light seems so bright on them. Today I am on CD 13. And I’m pretty sure I got a positive ovulation result! What do you think?

School, TTC And Random Updates

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve really said anything about school on here, so I’ll start with that.

My last day of class is officially March 24th! Can you believe it?!

About two weeks ago I started testing out of school. This entails passing a written mock State Board exam at least twice with an 85 or higher as well as practicing your practical procedures and job searching, etc.

I have taken three tests. The first time I just KNEW I was going to pass this test with an 85, no problem. I made a freaking 74! I was so mad! And, of course, they were all stupid mistakes. This Tuesday I took another test. This test was very similar to the first test. And again, I thought I did fantastically. I made a 73! By this point, I’m irritated as hell. At least I know I shouldn’t have any issues at Board. A grade of 70 or higher is considered passing at Board. The school requires we pass two tests with an 85 or higher to make sure that we’ll unlikely have any issues passing the real deal.

Last night, I braved it and took another test. This one I just knew I was going to fail. I was feeling good about making a 60 on this one. It was that bad. And it sure didn’t help when your answers look something like, CCCCCBADDDBACCCBBBAAAAAADDA. I thought, surely I’m fucking something up. There were way too many ABCD’s in a row. I reluctantly handed her my test…. She graded it and I fucking passed! I BARELY passed. I made an 86! I was so shocked and so relieved! So, one test passed and one more to go! (Cross your fingers for me!)

I have gotten the majority of my kit together for board already. Buying everything that I needed was making this process that much more real. I’m stressed, anxious, excited, scared… A million things. I’ve yet to really start looking for a job. I got the list of salon’s hiring from my instructor, but I’ve only looked at it. This is just all so crazy!

Next week, my brother and sister-in-law, along with our nephews will be here from Texas for their spring break! We’re so excited. The kids have counted down the days on the calendar with so much excitement. They’re a little bummed that they will be in school while they’re down, but I told them I’d let them play hooky one day that week. Shhh!

Joseph is having district testing this week. He’s already had three tests. He’s scored really fantastically on all of them. He’s so proud of himself! Speaking of Joseph. His birthday is just a month away. That month is going to go quickly. *Note to self: Start planning birthday!*

Our search for another place is not going so well. We have less than a month to sign or end our lease and I’d really like for the latter, but the way things are looking we may just have to begin another one year lease here. My biggest reasoning in finding another place was space. Needing and wanting more room for all the shit we don’t have room for now, and extra space for the addition of another baby.

Speaking of baby. We are on our third cycle trying. I am on CD 12. I have not yet ovulated. We’re hoping that this is our cycle! If not, we’re totally okay with that and will try again in May.

I have just started watching Army Wives. O…M…G! I am addicted to this damn show! I never watched it before because I figured it would be some stupid Lifetime channel quality show and acting. My sister Tiffany insisted that it was such a good show, so I took the plunge and added it to our Netflix queue. It has been there since we first got Netflix. I have been so bored out of my mind lately that I just decided to rot my brain at the TV and watch Netflix all day. I clicked on Army Wives and did not want to stop watching. It took every bit of strength in me to get up from the couch and brush my damn teeth. It sucked me in like nobody’s business. I’m pretty sure I’ve called Tiffany after every episode to talk about it. Lol

The kids have been dying to see Nana and Papa, but every one of us has had a terrible cold and cough. So we’ve not seen them in two or three weeks. For us… That’s a long time. We’re usually there every weekend. Lol We’ve been pumped with Dayquil and Ricola for all that time. Jonathan still has a minor cough, but otherwise everyone is back to being healthy. So we’ll see you this weekend Nana and Papa! 🙂

I’ve been back to recording our little family, so I’ll have some video to upload. I probably will not upload for about two weeks since family will be here next week.

Okay… I’ve rambled a lot. I’ll have more updates soon. Muah!

TTC Blog #4

So here I am…

At cycle day 1. Ugh!!!!

I had that feeling… The feeling that aunt flow would show… *Sigh*

Some have asked what our TTC plans are. I’ll explain.

We will be TTC again this cycle. If we do not get pregnant we will be taking a two month break from TTC to avoid a December baby. Why? December… Nobody gives a shit about remembering birthdays in December because we’re all so focused on Christmas. I’d hate for our child to feel left out or neglected or only get birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper. I know  a few people who have December birthdays. Whether they are at the beginning of the month, the middle of the month or on Christmas day… They all hate it. Some never got birthday cards, just Christmas cards without even a handwritten happy birthday inside. So… To avoid this,  we will be using condoms or some other birth control to avoid pregnancy in March and April.

If we succeed in getting pregnant this cycle we will have a November 6, 2012 estimated due date (EDD). Next cycle would give us a December 5, 2012 EDD, and the following cycle a January 2, 2013 EDD. Because of my tendency to deliver 3-4 weeks early we will avoid the January EDD to avoid a possible December birth date. We’d also like to keep it away from the other kiddos birthdays, but that is not as important to us.

I posted on a TTC message board about this and got the question, “If you want a baby so bad, why are you taking a two month break just to avoid a December baby? You should be happy to get pregnant at any time.” I understand that opinion and agree with it to an extent, but we also know what we want and what would work best for us. This is the way we want it. If it happens while we are on our TTC break, there isn’t much we can do about it. We’ll be just as happy. But if we can avoid it, we will.

So there you have it folks… CD 1… This is going to be a long cycle. Bleh!
